Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapy role administers respiratory treatments (oxygen, aerosol, airway management), manages ventilators and high-flow oxygen systems, performs ABGs and PFTs, implements patient-specific respiratory care plans, documents care in the EMR, responds to code blue/rapid response events, and may serve as Lead RCP during assigned shifts in an acute care setting.
Required Qualifications
- State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from NBRC required
- 2 years experience as an RCP preferred
- ACLS certificate within 60 day of hire and maintain current
- NRP certificate preferred
- PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current
- Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
