Respiratory Therapy Assistant

Supports licensed Respiratory Therapist with clinical services, inventories and requisitions supplies and equipment, maintains daily/monthly/annual cleaning schedules, and documents activities. Engages in data outcomes tasks such as data entry and discharge documentation, coordinates with DME vendors for patient discharge, and assists with EKGs and arterial blood gas processes as applicable. May float to other departments within scope of competency, and may be placed on-call during scheduled shifts. Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives and contributes ideas to improve processes and patient satisfaction. Reflects a part-time role with rotating days/evenings/weekends in Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital’s Respiratory Therapy department. The role involves handling regulatory paperwork for DME, organizing supplies, and ensuring proper equipment maintenance and cleanliness.
