Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist to perform in-home visits, ALFs, and ILFs as part of a primary care team; assist licensed Respiratory Therapists, implement treatment plans, educate patients on rehabilitation techniques, and document progress. Responsibilities include monitoring patients during therapy sessions, helping develop individualized therapy plans, instructing patients in therapeutic exercises, coordinating with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals, maintaining a clean therapy environment, ensuring proper equipment sanitization, and assisting with discharge planning and follow-up care. Requires an Associate degree, active licensure or eligibility, CPR certification, strong communication, teamwork, organization, and empathy; preferred experience with EMR systems and bilingual capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Respiratory program
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- CPR certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Compassion and empathy for patients undergoing rehabilitation
- Prior experience (preferred) in Respiratory Therapy
- EMR proficiency and bilingual ability (preferred)
