Job Summary
Provide therapeutic, diagnostic, technical and teaching respiratory therapy services under general supervision, working to full scope of practice and maintaining competency per organizational policies and professional standards. Responsibilities include independent prioritization of work, ongoing education, and adherence to MARRT standards; role may require travel to other regional facilities and shifts that may include evenings, nights, and weekends. Must hold an entry-to-practice credential in Respiratory Therapy, be registered with MARRT, and maintain required certifications (BLS, NRP, ACLS, PALS). Bilingual proficiency in English and French is essential for designated positions. A valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a suitable vehicle with liability insurance are required.
Required Qualifications
- Entry-to-practice academic credential in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited Canadian program or a MARRT approved equivalent
- Current registration with the MARRT
- Current CSRT membership preferred
- BLS - Provider, NRP, ACLS, PALS
- Proficiency in English and French for bilingual positions
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with vehicle and $1,000,000 liability insurance
- Ability to travel to other regional facilities
- Knowledge of RHPA, Professional Standards of Practice, and Code of Ethics
Desired Qualifications
- Entry-to-practice credential in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited Canadian program or MARRT-approved equivalent
- Current registration with the Manitoba Association of Registered Respiratory Therapists (MARRT)
- Current registration/membership in the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) preferred
- BLS - Provider, NRP, ACLS, PALS
- Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) for bilingual positions
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with access to an all-purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000
- Willingness to travel to other regional facilities as required
- Demonstrated knowledge of Regulated Health Professions Act, Professional Standards of Practice, and Code of Ethics
