Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapist provides comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all ages, performing patient assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes. Requires strong clinical judgment, capability to respond in emergency/critical care situations, and proficiency in invasive and non-invasive ventilator management, blood gas analysis, and bedside pulmonary diagnostics. Must be licensed as a Respiratory Therapist in Alabama with current BLS; NBRC credentials (CRT/RRT) preferred. Schedule is Full-Time with 12-hour WOW weekend days (Fri–Sun). Education: graduate from an accredited respiratory therapy program; Associate degree required, Bachelor's preferred. Experience in acute care hospital and critical care settings preferred. Location: Mobile, AL, USA. Skills include cardiopulmonary anatomy and physiology knowledge, excellent communication, and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program required.
- Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Current Alabama Respiratory Therapist license required.
- Current CRT or RRT credential through the NBRC preferred.
- Current BLS certification required.
