Respiratory Therapist - Weekdays

Job Summary
Receive and document equipment orders from referral sources, physicians, and caregivers while assessing patient needs to select appropriate respiratory services. Provide in-home patient care as needed, instruct clients on equipment use, and communicate with physicians to adjust treatment plans. Maintain compliance tasks, manage paperwork, and track preventative maintenance schedules for assigned clients. Travel within the territory to support branches and rotate to various locations for staffing coverage. Act as a liaison between the company and patients, families, and healthcare agencies to ensure continuity of care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
- Respiratory care experience and/or home care experience in the field of respiratory care
- Thorough knowledge and skills related to Home Medical Equipment field
- Ability to effectively manage all respiratory products provided by the company
- Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people resulting in constructive working relationships
- People-sensitive characteristics with a genuine desire to help others
- Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, manage records, and maintain accurate documentation
- Ensuring accuracy in data collection and record-keeping
- Providing excellent customer service and fostering a positive client experience
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines
- Ability to cater to diverse customer base
- Experience with relevant software, scheduling tools, and data entry software, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must be willing and able to travel within the assigned territory and provide coverage for area branches as operational needs dictate
- Must be flexible and willing to assist with staffing coverage at various locations, when peers are out due to continued education, vacation, leave, etc...
- Must be willing to work after normal business hours and on weekends
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. independently (e.g., portable oxygen concentrators and nebulizers)
- Must have ability to stoop, kneel, and crouch to plug in, set up, or troubleshoot equipment
- Manual dexterity including fine motor skills required to manipulate small medical components (such as cleaning tubing)
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle throughout shift, including frequent entry and exit of the vehicle
- Must be able to work in various conditions and lift equipment in all-weather types
- Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory response from a Background Screening
