Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support is a Field Clinician who delivers specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. Responsibilities include applying advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment and ventilators, performing clinical assessments and care-plan reviews, participating in discharge planning, instructing patients and caregivers on equipment use, providing clinical follow-up with physicians and referral sources, conducting in-services for staff and professionals, maintaining HIPAA and infection-control compliance, documenting care activities and outcomes, ensuring regulatory and reimbursement-related documentation, pursuing ongoing professional competency, and collaborating with peers to optimize patient outcomes. Requirements include an associate degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program, relevant licensure, CPR certification, a valid driver’s license, and travel as part of a field/hybrid in-office role.
