Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support providing comprehensive respiratory patient care for ventilated patients in home/home-health settings. Responsibilities include ventilator management and troubleshooting, performing clinical assessments, documenting care and plan of treatment, assisting with referrals and authorization, discharge planning for highly technical cases, educating patients and caregivers, coordinating with physicians and referral sources, ensuring HIPAA-compliant documentation, maintaining equipment and knowledge of current ventilation products, and traveling within the service area as needed. Requires associates degree in respiratory care, RT license, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of vent experience; ability to lift and travel to patient residences; on-call responsibilities outside normal business hours; strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree from an AMA approved respiratory program
- Valid and unrestricted RT clinical license in all states serviced by the branch
- Must be CPR certified
- One (1) year of clinical experience as a Health Care RT, HME RT or clinical nursing with Vent experience
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license
