Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support delivers specialized respiratory care to ventilator dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. Responsibilities include clinical assessments and reassessments, discharge planning, educating patients/caregivers/healthcare professionals on ventilator use, documenting care activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, collaborating with physicians and care teams, participating in on-call rotation, and promoting program development and engagement with referral sources.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program
- Valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in all states serviced by the branch
- CPR certification
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license
- One (1) year of clinical experience as a Nurse with ventilator exposure, Healthcare Respiratory Therapist or HME Respiratory Therapist
