Job Summary
Assess and treat patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders, including asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, and pneumonia. Administer medication and oxygen therapy as prescribed by physicians, while educating patients and families on condition management and breathing techniques. Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and adjust care as necessary. Respond to emergency situations such as cardiac arrest by providing life support measures within the scope of practice. Requires current state licensure, BLS certification, and ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergency situations
