Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for delivering all modes of Respiratory care, including small volume nebulizers, arterial blood gas drawing, maintaining artificial airways, and mechanical ventilation. Competence across all age groups from perinatal to geriatric is required. Key responsibilities include excellent customer service, documentation in the EMR, participation in performance improvement activities, and adherence to hospital standards. Required qualifications include graduation from an AMA-approved school, state licensure in Massachusetts, and current BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of Respiratory Care
- Licensed in the state of Massachusetts in respiratory care
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare Providers (BLSHP)
- Maintenance of CEU’s in accordance with the regulation of licensure in the state of Massachusetts
