Respiratory Therapist

Provide comprehensive respiratory care across acute and critical care settings, including management of mechanical ventilation and non-invasive ventilation, arterial blood gases interpretation, pulmonary function testing and spirometry, administration of aerosolized medications and bronchodilators, airway management support during intubation/extubation, participation in rapid response and code events, and documentation in the electronic health record. Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies, inhaler technique, home oxygen use, and chronic respiratory condition management. Contribute to care planning and daily rounds, stay current with evolving respiratory care practices, participate in in-service education and competency training, and support quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
