Job Summary
Conduct respiratory assessments, administer oxygen therapy and nebulizer treatments, and monitor ventilator settings for elderly patients with respiratory failure. Develop individualized care plans, educate patients and families on disease management, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care. Maintain accurate patient records and respond to emergency situations requiring life-saving interventions. Requires a valid state license, two years of healthcare experience, BLS and ACLS certification, and the ability to work night shifts and rotating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state license as a Respiratory Therapist
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with geriatric patients
- Strong knowledge of respiratory diseases and treatments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work night shifts and rotating weekends
- BLS and ACLS certification
