Job Summary
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to perform respiratory therapy, management, rehabilitation, and diagnostic evaluation for residents with pulmonary system deficiencies. Review resident assignments, vitals, and treatment data while conducting focused interviews to identify specific needs. Assess signs of physiologic and psychosocial changes, evaluate lung capacities, and perform necessary blood gas tests. Document all care, diagnoses, and status changes in Point Click Care and communicate directly with physicians and nursing staff. Adhere to emergency, safety, and infection control procedures while reporting changes in respiratory status to the directors of nursing. Requires an active CRT or RRT credential, associate degree, one year of experience, and BLS certification. Full-time role covering seven days a week with rotating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Unencumbered registered or certified Respiratory Therapist authorized to practice in Colorado
- Must possess an active CRT or RRT credential
- Must possess, as a minimum, an associate degree from an accredited school
- Minimum of one (1) year respiratory experience in a skilled nursing and/or acute care setting
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer
- Knowledgeable user of Point Click Care (PCC)
- Coverage needed 7 days/week
- 8-hour shifts, rotating weekends, regularly schedule 40 hours/workweek
