Job Summary
Review resident assignments, current vitals, and treatment history to evaluate lung capacities, measure blood oxygen and carbon dioxide levels, and perform necessary respiratory tests. Conduct focused interviews to identify specific resident needs, assess signs of physiologic or psychosocial changes, and document findings in Point Click Care. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and nursing staff to coordinate care plans, communicate with physicians regarding resident status, and report changes in respiratory condition to the Directors of Nursing. Adhere to established policies, emergency procedures, and infection control guidelines while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Full-time role covering seven days per week with rotating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Unencumbered registered or certified Respiratory Therapist authorized to practice in Colorado
- Must possess an active CRT or RRT credential
- Must possess, as a minimum, an associate degree from an accredited school
- Minimum of one (1) year respiratory experience in a skilled nursing and/or acute care setting
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer
- Knowledgeable user of Point Click Care (PCC)
- Coverage needed 7 days/week
- 8-hour shifts, rotating weekends, regularly schedule 40 hours/workweek
