Job Summary
Review resident assignments, vitals, and treatment history; visit assigned residents to assess lung capacity, oxygen and carbon dioxide levels, and current symptoms. Perform respiratory therapy, management, rehabilitation, and diagnostic evaluations while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and nursing staff. Document all assessments, diagnoses, and care plans in Point Click Care, communicate status changes to physicians and nursing directors, and adhere to emergency, safety, and infection control procedures. Requires an active CRT or RRT credential, associate degree, and minimum one year of experience in skilled nursing or acute care. Full-time, five days a week, 8-hour shifts with rotating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Unencumbered registered or certified Respiratory Therapist authorized to practice in Colorado
- Active CRT or RRT credential
- Associate degree from an accredited school
- One (1) year respiratory experience in a skilled nursing and/or acute care setting
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer
- Knowledgeable user of Point Click Care (PCC)
- Coverage needed 7 days/week
- 8-hour shifts, rotating weekends, regularly schedule 40 hours/workweek
