Job Summary
Review resident assignments, vitals, and symptoms; visit assigned patients to assess lung capacity, oxygen and carbon dioxide levels, and overall respiratory status. Perform respiratory therapy, management, rehabilitation, and diagnostic evaluations while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and nursing staff. Document all care plans, diagnoses, and status changes in Point Click Care, communicate with physicians as needed, and adhere to emergency, safety, and infection control procedures. Report changes in resident respiratory status to the Director of Nursing. Full-time, 5 days a week, 8-hour rotating shifts covering 7 days/week.
Required Qualifications
- Unencumbered registered or certified Respiratory Therapist authorized to practice in Colorado
- Must possess an active CRT or RRT credential
- Must possess, as a minimum, an associate degree from an accredited school
- Minimum of one (1) year respiratory experience in a skilled nursing and/or acute care setting
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer
- Knowledgeable user of Point Click Care (PCC)
- Coverage needed 7 days/week
- 8-hour shifts, rotating weekends, regularly schedule 40 hours/workweek
