Job Summary
Review resident assignments, current vitals, and symptoms; visit assigned residents to assess lung capacity, blood gas levels, and treatment effectiveness. Perform respiratory therapy, management, rehabilitation, and diagnostic evaluations while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and nursing staff. Document care plans, communicate with physicians, and report changes in respiratory status to the Director of Nursing. Adhere to emergency, safety, and infection control procedures within a skilled nursing and acute care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Unencumbered registered or certified Respiratory Therapist authorized to practice in Colorado
- Active CRT or RRT credential
- Associate degree from an accredited school
- One (1) year respiratory experience in a skilled nursing and/or acute care setting
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer
- Knowledgeable user of Point Click Care (PCC)
- Coverage needed 7 days/week
- 8-hour shifts, rotating weekends, regularly schedule 40 hours/workweek
