Job Summary
Review resident assignments, vitals, and symptoms; perform respiratory/pulmonary therapy, management, rehabilitation, and diagnostic evaluations. Visit assigned residents to assess lung capacities, monitor oxygen and carbon dioxide levels, and address pulmonary deficiencies. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, nursing staff, and physicians to coordinate care, document findings in Point Click Care, and report status changes to nursing directors. Adhere to emergency, safety, and infection control procedures while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Full-time, 5 days a week, 8-hour rotating shifts covering 7 days/week. $35.00–$38.00/hour. Requires active CRT or RRT credential, associate degree, and minimum one year experience in skilled nursing or acute care.
Required Qualifications
- Unencumbered registered or certified Respiratory Therapist authorized to practice in Colorado
- Must possess an active CRT or RRT credential
- Must possess, as a minimum, an associate degree from an accredited school
- Minimum of one (1) year respiratory experience in a skilled nursing and/or acute care setting
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer
- Knowledgeable user of Point Click Care (PCC)
- Coverage needed 7 days/week
- 8-hour shifts, rotating weekends, regularly schedule 40 hours/workweek
