Job Summary
Review resident assignments, vitals, and treatment history; visit assigned residents to assess lung capacity, oxygen and carbon dioxide levels, and current symptoms. Perform respiratory therapy, management, rehabilitation, and diagnostic evaluations while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and nursing staff. Document findings, coordinate care, and report changes in respiratory status to the Director of Nursing. Adhere to emergency, safety, and infection control procedures while maintaining PHI and HIPAA compliance. Work 8-hour shifts, rotating weekends, covering seven days a week.
Required Qualifications
- Unencumbered registered or certified Respiratory Therapist authorized to practice in Colorado
- Must possess an active CRT or RRT credential
- Must possess, as a minimum, an associate degree from an accredited school
- Minimum of one (1) year respiratory experience in a skilled nursing and/or acute care setting
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer
- Knowledgeable user of Point Click Care (PCC)
- Coverage needed 7 days/week
- 8-hour shifts, rotating weekends, regularly schedule 40 hours/workweek
