Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist role providing evaluation and care for respiratory therapy patients. Administers prescribed respiratory therapies, assesses treatment needs, develops care plans, implements and monitors patient care and equipment, evaluates outcomes, and educates patients and families about conditions and community resources. Responsibilities include equipment calibration/maintenance, inventory management, and responding to medical emergencies. Requires an associate degree in Respiratory Care (or equivalent), and active NBRC RRT credentials with state licenses (IL, MO, OK, WI) and BLS HCP certification.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent years of experience and education
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - NBRC
- Respiratory Care Practitioner - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - NBRC (duplicate entry)
- Respiratory Care Practitioner - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Respiratory Educ Permit - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Respiratory Care Practitioner - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
