Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist provides evaluation of and care for respiratory therapy patients. Administers prescribed respiratory therapeutic services, assesses patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment, develops a care plan, implements and monitors patient care, and evaluates outcomes. Educates patient and family about the condition and available community programs. Assists with calibration and maintenance of equipment, maintains inventory, and responds to medical emergencies/rapid responses. Seeks to ensure safe care, including adherence to department policies and procedures. Requires an Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent, BLS HCP, NBRC RRT, and licensure/credentialing as applicable; no experience required. Scheduling includes full-time night shifts (7pm-7am) with 3x12-hour shifts per week.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent years of education and experience
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - NBRC
- Respiratory Care Practitioner - IDFPR / Missouri / Wisconsin / Oklahoma boards as applicable
