Job Summary
Administer and monitor respiratory care services under the direction of the Respiratory Care Manager, including chest physical therapy, airway management, mechanical ventilation, and pulmonary function testing. Deliver patient and family education on smoking cessation, perform fit testing and tuberculosis screening, and assist with bronchoscopy and CPR. Manage medication delivery, blood sampling, and electrocardiogram testing while implementing clinical protocols. Requires a Massachusetts license, CRT certification, and one year of acute or chronic respiratory care experience. Full vaccination against influenza and COVID-19 is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved program for Respiratory Care
- Valid license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Respiratory Care
- CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist)
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
- Rotation to all shifts as needed
Desired Qualifications
- An Associates degree
- One (1) year of acute and chronic respiratory care experience
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
