Job Summary
Performs diagnostic polysomnography studies in the sleep lab to evaluate and treat sleep disorders. Requires WV licensure for respiratory therapists and certification (RPSGT or RST) within two years, plus NBRC credentials (CPFT/RPFT/CRT/RRT) and CPR certification. Core duties include acquiring high-quality polysomnograms, applying testing montages to detect sleep abnormalities, performing pre/post-test equipment checks, obtaining consent for video/photography, completing sleep questionnaires, documenting patient histories, and maintaining technical reports. Work environment is a sleep lab with potential exposure to hazards and infectious materials. Schedule: 36 hours per week; location: Princeton Community Hospital, Princeton, WV. Required Qualifications
- Must possess current licensure as required by state board where services will be provided: WV: Licensed Respiratory Therapist Registered (LRTR)
- Certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) OR Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) within two (2) years of hire
- Certification in NBRC: CPFT, RPFT, CRT, or RRT
- Certification in CPR
- One (1) year of Polysomnographic experience
