Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist at NeuroRestorative (Sevita) provides direct respiratory care to subacute patients, including management of continuous mechanical ventilation, patient education, and collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team. Responsibilities include assessing and adjusting respiratory care plans, documenting therapy outcomes, ensuring airway patency, participating in patient rounds, and contributing to quality assurance. Requires clinical competency in pediatric respiratory principles, strong communication skills, and ability to respond to emergencies; night shift, hourly pay with shift differential. Minimum education is an approved Respiratory Therapy program with a preferred Associate’s Degree; California credential required or eligible; two years of experience and PALS certification (may be completed after hire).
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an approved program in Respiratory Therapy
- Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Care Technology preferred
- Two years’ experience
- Current California credential to practice Respiratory Care
- Registered Respiratory Therapist or eligible for registration by the National Board of Respiratory Care
- PALS certification required (may complete after hire)
- Ability to apply pediatric respiratory principles in the clinical setting
