Job Summary
As a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT), evaluate, treat, and care for residents with breathing disorders under physician direction; set up and operate various respiratory care equipment for diagnosis and treatment, while monitoring residents’ physiological responses to therapy. Requires 2-4 years of direct Respiratory Therapy experience, a current state license, CPR/BLS certification, and knowledge of nursing practices and long-term care regulations. Nice-to-have includes experience with multiple residents, acute care or Skilled Nursing environments, and PCC/PointClickCare systems.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience providing direct Respiratory Therapy
- Current Respiratory License in the state
- Current and valid CPR/BLS certification
- Knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care
- Ability to work under stress and in emergency situations
