Job Summary
Conduct, perform, and analyze pulmonary function tests while assisting physicians and nurses in creating treatment plans for cardio-pulmonary disease and disorders. Administer aerosol medications, provide chest physical therapy, and teach patients how to use equipment and administer medications independently. This flexible role allows independent respiratory therapists to bid on per diem shifts across various facilities, choosing days and rates that fit their schedule. A valid Illinois license and high school diploma are required.
