Job Summary
Provide respiratory therapy services to residents with pulmonary and respiratory care needs, including assessing respiratory status and monitoring those receiving oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and other interventions. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement respiratory care plans while ensuring proper documentation of treatments and clinical observations. Educate residents, families, and staff on conditions, treatments, and equipment use while maintaining compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations. This part-time role supports facility initiatives to expand respiratory care capabilities and improve resident outcomes within our skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current Respiratory Therapist license in good standing
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute care, or hospital respiratory therapy preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to make sound clinical decisions independently when appropriate
