Respiratory Therapist (RT) - Day Shift

Respiratory Therapists at Mary Free Bed provide patient-centered respiratory care as part of an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include delivering bronchodilator, ventilator, airway management, pulmonary hygiene, sleep-disorder screening, oxygen and aerosol therapies, and discharge education while following department policies. The role emphasizes critical thinking, collaboration with physicians and co-workers, patient/family education, and contributing to quality improvement efforts. Must hold an active Michigan RT license, have an associate degree, ACLS and PALS, and be prepared to complete registry within 90 days of hire; part-time Day shift with a 30-hour work week and every-other-weekend requirements. The position requires strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills to ensure safe, high-quality care within a hospital setting.
