Job Summary
Assess patients' respiratory needs, including oxygen saturation, ventilator use, and decannulation weaning. Provide respiratory care services, complete treatment checks, and perform diagnostic testing for clinical needs. Document pertinent information on patient charts, including consults and physician recommendations. Manage respiratory equipment storage, supply documentation, and regulatory compliance. Resolve routine problems and communicate solutions to appropriate personnel. Complete monthly Treatment Assessment Reports (TARs) and handle routine mail, phone calls, and faxing as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- A CRT or RRT license
- A graduate of an AMA approved school for respiratory care
- Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in the state of Ohio
- Valid CPR certification
Desired Qualifications
- One year of respiratory therapy experience preferred in a long-term care setting
- Vent Certified
