Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist (RT) position at Aurora Medical Center Oshkosh. Responsibilities include using respiratory therapy processes to assess patients with pulmonary diagnostics, chest radiographs, hemodynamic and laboratory values; managing specialized ventilators in critical and non-critical care; assisting physicians with bedside procedures; providing medication treatments per orders or patient protocols; maintaining and troubleshooting equipment; educating patients on therapy goals and self-care; collaborating with departments for patient education and safety; and precepting new teammates. Requires RCP licensure, NBRC credential (RRT or CRT), and BLS. Minimum education is an associate degree in respiratory care; no experience required. Schedule includes 0.9 FTE nights with 12-hour shifts and a block schedule; 36 hours/week with benefits and sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program, with a minimum of an associate degree
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license issued by the state in which the team member practices
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the NBRC within 12 months OR active Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential issued by the NBRC if credential received prior to January 1, 2023
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
