Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist (RT) provides respiratory care, including pulmonary diagnostics, ventilator management, bedside procedures, and patient education. Collaborates with physicians and other departments, operates ventilators, administers medication therapies per orders, ensures equipment functionality, educates patients on therapy goals and safety, and supports safety and quality initiatives. Requires state RCP licensure, NBRC credentials, and BLS certification; degree requirement is an associate degree in respiratory care; no prior experience required. Schedule: 0.9 FTE, nights; location: Aurora Medical Center Grafton.
Required Qualifications
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license issued by the state in which the team member practices
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the NBRC within 12 months OR active Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential issued by the NBRC if credential received prior to January 1, 2023
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program, with a minimum of an associate degree
