Job Summary

Receive and document equipment orders from physicians, patients, or caregivers, then assess client needs to select appropriate respiratory supplies and services. Instruct patients and families on proper equipment use, troubleshoot devices, and communicate with medical providers regarding care adjustments. Manage compliance tasks, preventative maintenance schedules, and discharge planning while acting as a liaison between the company and healthcare agencies. Travel within the assigned territory to support branches and rotate for coverage as operational needs dictate.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
  • Respiratory care experience and/or home care experience in the field of respiratory care
  • Thorough knowledge and skills related to Home Medical Equipment field
  • Ability to effectively manage all respiratory products provided by the company
  • Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people resulting in constructive working relationships
  • People-sensitive characteristics with a genuine desire to help others
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, manage records, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Ensuring accuracy in data collection and record-keeping
  • Providing excellent customer service and fostering a positive client experience
  • Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines
  • Ability to cater to diverse customer base
  • Experience with relevant software, scheduling tools, and data entry software, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be willing and able to travel within the assigned territory and provide coverage for area branches as operational needs dictate
  • Must be willing to work after normal business hours and on weekends
  • Must be willing to assist with staffing coverage at various locations, when peers are out due to continued education, vacation, leave, etc
  • Must be able to lift and carry equipment (e.g., portable oxygen concentrators and nebulizers) weighing up to 50 lbs independently
  • Must be able to safely operate a vehicle
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
