Job Summary
Administer respiratory therapy treatments including oxygen, aerosol, and airway management while managing ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow systems. Perform pulmonary diagnostics such as ABGs and PFTs, implement patient-specific care plans, and document updates in the EMR. Respond to code blue and rapid response events, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support outcomes. You may serve as Lead RCP during assigned shifts. Work a 36-hour (3x12-hour) night schedule in a high-acuity critical care environment. A state RCP license, RRT certification, and current BCLS/ACLS are required; 2 years of RCP experience is preferred. Sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates relocating from outside Illinois.
Required Qualifications
- State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree
- ACLS certificate
- NRP certificate
- PALS certificate
