Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist II (PT Days) provides ventilator management and complex respiratory care in critical care areas, including aerosolized medications, ABG sampling, and invasive/non-invasive procedures, with patient/family education, staff development, and collaboration with the healthcare team. Responsibilities include verifying orders, administering therapies, performing arterial blood gas analysis, mentoring staff and students, and participating in quality improvement and evidence-based practice. Location: Alpharetta, GA; requires graduate-level respiratory therapy education, accredited program, and applicable certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with minimally 20 quarter hours of science
- Required Associate's Degree
- Required Bachelor's Degree
- Licenses and Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and state license as applicable
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Instructor
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Instructor or ACLS-Provisional
- 0-2 years clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
- Ability to communicate well, critical thinking, teamwork, and computer skills (databases)
