Job Summary
Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians. Assess patients to determine the most suitable treatment method, monitor physiological responses with special attention to pediatric and neonatal cases, and document treatment, equipment maintenance, and quality control activities. Communicate treatment plans clearly to patients and families while providing staff education. Transcribe verbal or phone orders from physicians. This part-time role requires a licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner with 6 months of healthcare experience and 1 year in adult critical care or neonatal/adult settings. Shifts vary from 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, and 11pm-7am with weekend rotation and holidays required.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed by the State of Illinois as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of respiratory therapy
- CPR (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
- Shifts can vary from 7am - 3pm, 3pm - 11pm, and 11pm - 7am
- Weekend rotation
- Holidays required
