Job Summary
Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians. Assess patients to determine the most suitable treatment method, monitor physiological responses with special attention to pediatric and neonatal cases, and document treatment, equipment maintenance, and quality control activities. Communicate treatment plans clearly to patients and families while providing staff education. Transcribe verbal or phone orders from physicians. This part-time role offers 20 hours weekly with 8 or 12-hour shifts from 7am-3pm or 7am-7pm, including every other weekend rotation and holidays. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed by the State of Illinois as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of respiratory therapy
- CPR (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- 6 months experience in a health care setting
- 1 year of adult critical care experience
- neonatal or adult experience
