Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist - RRT, Nights shift. Responsible for administration of pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic respiratory care agents per physician orders; conducts assessments, monitors responses, and implements treatment plans to achieve effective respiratory care, disease prevention, and rehabilitation. Performs ABG punctures, assists with bedside procedures, conducts pulmonary testing, maintains equipment, documents thoroughly, ensures PPE usage, and collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and high-quality care. Maintains adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies; responsive to emergencies and able to tailor oxygen therapy to patient needs across populations. Requires regular attendance and compliance with policies. Licensure: RRT, BCLS, ACLS, PALS (NRP and STABLE for NICU as applicable). Georgia requires PALS and NRP certifications; SAMA course must be completed within 30 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire required
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation if working in the NICU Department required
- STABLE - Neonatal Certification if working in the NICU Department required
- Georgia: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required. Successful completion of assigned SAMA course within 30 days of hire required
