Job Summary
Provide Respiratory Care services in accordance with physician orders, department policies, and procedures under the supervision of the Critical Care Director, Medical Director, and Respiratory Department Manager. Maintain knowledge of oxygen delivery methods and equipment, administering treatments while assessing side effects. Set up and monitor mechanical ventilators, manage airways, and perform tracheal suctioning. Conduct arterial punctures to obtain blood samples for gas analysis, understanding associated complications and contraindications. Requires three years of NICU Level 3-RT experience, current licensure, and BLS/ACLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- 3 Years NICU Level 3-RT Experience Required
- Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy
- 5 years of verifiable experience
- BLS and ACLS certification
- PALS, NRP, Blood Gas Technologist certified within 90 days
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience in neonatal transport
- NICU experiance, 3 years or more preferred
