Job Summary
Weekend Program Respiratory Therapist (RRT II) provides monitoring, care, and coordination of patients in Respiratory Care. Works 36 hours per week on the Day Shift (Friday–Sunday) in a Kentucky hospital setting. Requires an Associate degree in Respiratory Care, NBRC-registered RRT, and a Kentucky license, with BLS; NRP within 1 year from hire and ACLS preferred within 3 months (not to exceed 6 months). On-site at Baptist Health Madisonville. Responsibilities align with hospital standards and AARC Clinical Practice Guidelines. Potential for newly graduated therapists; clinical experience preferred (2 years).
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited program in Respiratory Care
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- License by the State of Kentucky
- BLS required
- NRP within 1 year from hire (required or within timeframe)
- ACLs preferred within 3 months, not to exceed 6 months (preferred)
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS preferred within 3 months (not to exceed 6 months)
- NRP within 1 year from hire
- 2 years clinical experience (preferred)
- BLS required
- RRT registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
