Job Summary
Administer respiratory therapy treatments including oxygen, aerosol, and airway management while managing ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems. Perform pulmonary diagnostics such as ABGs and PFTs, implement patient-specific respiratory care plans, and document care in the EMR. Respond to code blue and rapid response events, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes. You may serve as a Lead RCP during assigned shifts. Work in a high-acuity, critical care environment within the Cardiopulmonary department. A State RCP license and RRT certification from the NBRC are required, along with current BCLS and ACLS certificates.
Required Qualifications
- State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years experience as an RCP
- Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree
- ACLS certificate
- NRP certificate
- PALS certificate
