Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist responsible for providing respiratory care treatments, oxygen services, diagnostic testing and ventilation support for neonatal to geriatric patients in both in-patient and out-patient settings. Performs RT-CRT procedures, monitors and weans oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation, analyzes arterial blood gases and EKGs, educates patients and staff on treatment plans, and performs related duties per physician orders and established policies. Requires Associate's Degree, RRT credential, and active state license, with BLS and ACLS (within 90 days) and strong computer/communication skills to document and coordinate care.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy (Required)
- Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- NBRC certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
- ACLS obtained within 90 days of employment
- Computer skills and data-entry capability
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Windows applications and role-specific software
- Ability to adapt procedures for various patient populations
- Ability to travel between facilities as needed
