Treat patients in accordance with physician orders and departmental policy across acute and critical care settings. Initiate, monitor, and manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation while managing all airways and associated equipment. Obtain blood gases from all sites, analyze results, and accurately document and charge for respiratory care procedures. Provide patient and family education, communicate with the healthcare team including students and nurse shadows, and adhere to infection control and quality initiatives. Perform appropriate cleaning and disinfection of equipment between patients. This role requires a Temporary Respiratory Care Practitioner license and NBRC RRT certification within six months, with a variable shift schedule at Blount Memorial Hospital.
