Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Care, Blount, Full-Time, Varied

Performs respiratory therapy general and critical care procedures in accordance with physician orders, department policy, and Respiratory Care guidelines. Initiates, monitors, and manages patients requiring invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation; initiates and manages airway management and related equipment; analyzes blood gases, documents and reports results; educates patients and families; communicates effectively with the healthcare team and supervisors. Adheres to infection control and quality initiatives; performs equipment cleaning between patients; reports to a non-management supervisory structure. Requires an Associate degree (or diploma/equivalent experience in lieu) and Respiratory Care Practitioner license, plus RRT and BLS with ongoing certs (NRP, PALS, ACLS, etc.). Variety of shifts; location at Blount Memorial Hospital, Maryville, TN.
