Performs respiratory therapy general and critical care procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental guidelines; initiates, monitors, and manages invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation; initiates and manages various airway types and related equipment; obtains and analyzes blood gases; documents and codes respiratory care procedures; provides patient and family education; communicates effectively with the healthcare team and supervisors; adheres to infection control and quality initiatives; performs additional duties as assigned; role is non-management and reports to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
