Job Summary
Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and manage invasive and non-invasive ventilatory support for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Perform airway management, secretion clearance, and respond to emergencies including codes and rapid response activations. Conduct patient assessments, analyze diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function studies, and adjust respiratory care plans based on clinical findings. Provide patient and family education on disease processes and medications while mentoring new staff and students. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure equipment safety through preventive maintenance and quality control checks. Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required with NYS license within six months; BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications needed. Located in Glens Falls, New York.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate with certification of completion from a two year approved training program in Respiratory Care
- Associate's Degree
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS certification
- Current NRP certification
- NYS Respiratory Therapist license
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care hospital or long-term ventilator facility
