Job Summary
Deliver respiratory therapy in an acute care setting including administering treatments (oxygen, aerosol, airway management), ventilator management (BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow systems), pulmonary diagnostics (ABGs, PFTs), and implementing patient-specific care plans. Document care in the EMR, respond to code blue and rapid response events, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes. May serve as Lead RCP during assigned shifts. Requires RCP license, NBRC RRT, BCLS, ACLS within 60 days, PALS within 60 days; associate or BS preferred; HS diploma required.
Required Qualifications
- State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from NBRC
- 2 years experience as an RCP preferred
- ACLS certificate within 60 days of hire
- PALS certificate within 60 days of hire
- Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
