Job Summary
Respiratory Therapists provide care to patients across hospital areas from general floors to critical care. Responsibilities include assessing patients to prevent, detect, monitor and manage disease and complications; measuring lung capacity to determine impairments; offering diagnosis results and treatment suggestions based on analysis; and collaborating with disciplines to deliver care. The role supports self scheduling, opportunities for advancement, and offers benefícios such as sign-on bonuses and differential shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited respiratory care program (minimum associate degree)
- Current Respiratory Therapy licensure in state(s) of practice and/or multi-state licensure privileges
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials with NBRC
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Site-specific specialty credentials such as NRP, ACLS, PALS, etc.
