Job Summary
Administer a full range of respiratory therapy treatments and modalities, monitor life support devices, and perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis as prescribed by the attending physician. Properly perform all therapeutic procedures, including 12-lead electrocardiograms, and administer critical care and emergency respiratory care procedures. Engage in multidisciplinary team approaches within critical and acute care settings while documenting patient treatment data and maintaining confidentiality. Participate actively in department performance improvement, new employee orientation, and staff education. Work in a mid-sized hospital offering comprehensive clinical opportunities with tuition loan repayment and shift differentials available.
Required Qualifications
- Registered as a Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Licensed by the State of Indiana Health Professional Bureau to perform respiratory therapy duties
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- RRT certification
- Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution preferred
