Job Summary
Assess patients' pulmonary status, develop care plans with physicians and nurses, and deliver respiratory care including intubation, extubation, and ventilated patient management. Perform procedures for arterial blood gas processing, cardiac monitoring, and emergency life support measures. Collaborate daily with the multidisciplinary team to establish discharge planning, reinforce care plans with families, and contribute to quality monitoring to reduce length of stay. Document interventions consistently and participate in orientation and mentoring of new associates. Requires NJ licensure, BLS, and PALS/NRP certifications.
Required Qualifications
- NJ licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner
- BLS through American Heart Association
- Certifications in PALS and NRP to be obtained within the first twelve months of employment for all full and part time staff
- Night shift availability
- Full Time employment availability
Desired Qualifications
- AA/AS degree
- CRT or RRT Certification by NBRC
